We’re grateful for 2023 and for everything God has done again, in us, through us, and for us. Many are not in the same place as before. Yet, we know that God has more in store. There are greater works He has prepared, and many will walk in them. God will take us further and entrust us with more. What a time to live in!
Regarding 2024, there are ‘many words’ the Holy Spirit speaks, but understand that prophecy isn’t always prediction but often encouragement, edification, and exhortation (1 Corinthians 14:3). Below, I’ve briefly listed some of ‘those words’ that God is especially speaking to His children ‘personally’.
“The Lord says:
Make radical choices to follow Me.
We live in a time where both darkness and light will increase, meaning that everything will become more extreme. We’ll also see this in the weather: winters will become colder, summers hotter, with extreme droughts or heavy rainfall. These increasing extremes also apply to God’s kingdom. The middle ground is disappearing. You must make choices: will you go all-in or not? Are you hot or cold? Devoted to the Lord or to yourself? Therefore, love God and not the world. Crucify your flesh and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Ensure there’s oil in your lamp and be Stronger than your excuses. Even though we are in a new year, that doesn’t mean you are in a new season. A new season is partly determined by the choices you make. Your responsibility determine God’s sovereignty.
Come up higher.
Revelation 4:1, ‘Come up here, and I will show you…’ The Lord invites all of us to ascend higher. The Lord says: move away from the noise and the crowd. I want to give you my perspective on where we are going. I will reveal to you what is to come, prepare you to be strong, safe, and steadfast. Don’t be led by your emotions or circumstances, but by My Spirit. Rise up and remain in Me, so that you will bear much fruit and flourish in the coming season. Be an Eagle.”
Work with the harp and receive wisdom and answers.
God wants us to ascend higher because He also wants to speak to us. Especially when it comes to His will for the new year. Many of God’s children have questions, and the Lord says, ‘Inquire of the Lord with the harp, and I will answer’ (2 Kings 3:15). Enter into God’s presence with worship, and you will notice that God will speak. You will find that your spirit becomes filled with thoughts, impressions, and answers that are from the Lord.
Stand more in authority and let the lion roar.
Jesus is not only the Lamb of God, but He is also the Lion of Judah. In Him, we also have this dual identity. In the natural, we are lambs (priests); we serve and lay down our lives for God and one another. In the Spirit, we are lions (kings); we rule, we have authority. Unfortunately, many Christians are not aware of this or do not utilize it, allowing things to happen without taking action. But in 2024, that will change because God is causing the Lion of Judah (within us) to rise up stronger than ever before. This will bring a new level of identity, confidence, and boldness.
Joel 3:16, ‘The Lord roars from Zion and utters His voice from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth tremble.'”
Step out in faith.
The Bible is very clear that faith without works is dead. True faith, therefore, takes action, and when we take action, there is always a response from heaven. This applies not only to praying for the sick and releasing the power of God but also to starting new things when God calls us to. Many don’t take steps due to unbelief or intimidation, but the Lord is freeing God’s people from that. When God’s will is known, ‘step out in faith,’ and that will activate ‘the gift of faith.’ Step out in faith and see water turn into wine!
Move with Me or stay behind.
Many who have persevered will be rewarded and receive promotion in 2024. It will also be a year where we’ll see an increase in signs, wonders, healings, glorious blessings, provision, and conversions on a scale we haven’t seen before. Many sons and daughters will return to God’s house and serve the Lord again. Also, God is bringing restoration concerning the message of the kingdom. More and more Christians will understand that it is God’s will for us to take our place in society and in all spheres of influence in this world. God is teaching the church what it means to be a Daniel in Babylon and a Joseph in Egypt.
All of this is part of the new wine that God is giving for a time like this. Unfortunately, many will not be open to this. Many will take offense due to jealousy or a religious spirit. However, they will not be able to stop the new work that God is doing. Jesus is building His church, and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it. The Lord says: move with Me or stay behind? Flourish or sour? Old or new wine? The head or the tail? Will you be a labour in the field or a persecutor?
Be prepared and come out of Egypt.
The glory is not only increasing but so is the darkness. We’re already seeing this happening: hotspots, droughts, epidemics, wars, the occult—all on the rise. However, this doesn’t mean that darkness will triumph. God’s light will always ultimately break through, and His kingdom will always expand (Isaiah 9:6). Even though we are facing darkness, I am positive about the future. Jesus has already overcome, and we are more than conquerors. This will become increasingly visible in this world. This was also the prayer of Jesus, ‘Your kingdom come.’ However, many prophets are speaking about an upcoming crisis and shortages. Therefore, it’s important to come out of Egypt, as provision will be in Goshen (Gen. 47). ‘Coming out of Egypt’ means coming out of sin, dept and bondage. At the same time, you should also use wisdom, so ensure that your storehouses are always filled (Proverbs 21:20).
Rejoice.
Rejoice because 2024 will be a year of many new open doors, breakthroughs, acceleration, and suddenlies!
1 Kings 18:45-46, ‘And “In a wink” (suddenly), the heavens grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain (breakthru’s). And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel. And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah, and he gathered up his garment and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel (acceleration).‘”
Psalm 24 for 2024:
The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein (kingdom, He reigns). For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters. Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord (come up higher)? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully (come out of Egypt). He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation (promotion). This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face (radical). Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in (taking authority an making room for the King). Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle (the Lion of Judah).
