Navigating and Dealing with a Season of Mist

Navigating and Dealing with a Season of Mist

You are currently viewing Navigating and Dealing with a Season of Mist

Some time ago, I received a vision of a boat in dense mist. The people aboard couldn’t see their way because it was early morning, a time when mist often envelops the surroundings. Through this vision, the Lord revealed that many Christians find themselves in a similar situation.

As you step into a new day in God, you may experience a season of mist. You know that God has greater works prepared, and new things are on the horizon, but the path forward isn’t entirely clear. God is leading you into uncharted territory, where you lack reference points, hence the mist.
Dealing with mist can be frustrating when you’re eager to move forward.

So, how can you make the mist disappear and gain clarity? Here are 6 principles:

  1. Complete Your Process in God: You are in transition, moving to a new place in God, but you must close the chapter of the old. To do this, evaluate your past experiences, learn from victories and failures, forgive, let go, and find your joy and rest in God first, not in mere activities. Completion of your process will lead to moving forward into the new day revealing more and more clarity.
  2. Go Fishing Again: Just as in Luke 5:4 when Jesus told Simon to cast his nets into deep waters, it’s not only about praying and seeking the Lord but also listening to your heart. God often speaks through your heart, igniting passion for certain things. Past wounds, fear, and fleshly desires may obscure your heart’s true desires, but the process is meant to heal, deliver, and remove fleshly ambitions, so your Godly passion remains. Dive into your heart’s deep waters there you will find many answers.
  3. Break the Spirit of the Jebusites: In 2 Samuel 5:6, David had to conquer the Jebusites to establish his government in Jerusalem. The Jebusites tried to keep him out, employing tactics to keep him blind and lame. Similarly, the enemy may try to hinder your progress by obscuring your vision and clarity. Take authority over the mist, recognizing that some of it is a smoke screen from the enemy. We break the spirit of Jebusites (blindness) in Jesus Name!
  4. Align with the Right People: God is strategically aligning His people on various levels. If you’ve been in isolation, it’s time to connect with others and become part of a bigger picture. Proper alignment often leads other aspects of your life to fall into place. Seek connections with the right people, engage in conversations, and brainstorm, as this can provide clarity and lead to new revelations.
  5. Seek Counsel or Coaching: Leaders, ministries, and churches may also experience misty seasons, especially in times of change and upgrade. The landscape is shifting towards an apostolic and kingdom context, requiring adjustments. Old blueprints and strategies are obsolete therefore don’t hesitate to seek input from others; no one is too big to ask for guidance. Be open to mentorship, coaching, or counsel, especially if you’re embarking on a new endeavour. There are people in the kingdom who can assist and help you.
  6. Seek Confirmation from God: Ensure that what you pursue is aligned with God’s will. If God is not in it, it won’t succeed. Seek confirmation from Him, just as Gideon did. If you’re dealing with uncertainty, ask God for confirmation; He will provide it.

Applying these principles will help dissipate the mist, bringing clarity to your path.

See in Jesus Name!
