Early to bed, early to rise

We are approaching a new year and I know that many will look back and be thankful for all that the Lord has done in us, through us, and for us.

On the flip side, there might have been things you couldn’t fulfil for various reasons, or perhaps you held onto hopes for certain promises to manifest, and you have not seen the manifestation. Maybe you initiated something but, for reasons couldn’t bring it to fruition, leaving loose ends. In these instances, it’s important not to be disappointed or to reject yourself.

Things dont always go 100% exactly as we expect or hoped (although He and His Word never disappoints) and we’re all in the process of growing in the things of the Lord. As long as we’re sincere and open to learning, there’s always grace, hope and a future in the Lord.

I believe that 2024 will usher in new opportunities and fresh beginnings. Despite dynamics we will see in this world we are destined to yield even more fruitfulness than in 2023. In fact, 2024 will be a year of breakthroughs unlike any we’ve seen before.

We are thankful for the past year, but determined for the new year. We will move forward, we will take dominion, occupy the land, and will see promises fulfilled, in Jesus Name.

By the way, 2023 isn’t over yet, so keep expecting good reports, answers, and manifestations.

We are also living in a time where both darkness and light will increase and this means everything becomes more extreme. We will also see this in the weather. Winters are getting colder and summers hotter, extreme drought or a lot of rain. The fact that everything is becoming more extreme is also true for God’s kingdom.

The season of between is over, the middle ground is vanishing. You have to make choiches, in or out, hot or cold.

For those who have known the Lord for some time, in 2024, the Lord requires fruitfulness, just as we see in the parable below:

Luke 13:6-9, He also spoke this parable: “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, ‘Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?’  But he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that you can cut it down.’

It is therefore crucial to have oil in your lamp, or else you might find yourself standing in front of a closed door. The Lord expects more in the days ahead.

Don’t misunderstand me, it’s not about being perfect; it’s about being committed to the Lord, His commission, His house and His plan for your life. What matters is that you are not spiritual lazy and lukewarm. Is He truly your King and are you seeking His kingdom first? Are you still on fire or do you not feel like it anymore?

If that’s the situation, I encourage you to be honest about it and bring it to God. He can renew your first love and fill you up again.

Many leaders and ministers will experience this necessity, and unction in their hearts as well. In fact the Holy Spirit is stirring up leaders and minsters to a more radical message. The Lord says, do not hold back, radical times demand radical decisions.

To be radical in preaching and discipleship, is not to be brutal, but to share God’s heart and word without apology. The truth sets you free and that should always be the heart of leaders and ministers.

Wake up, for we live in serious times.
