The influence of the transgender spirit in the Church is on the rise. Many individuals have been affected, leading them to desire a change in their identities and roles. Pastors aspire to become apostles, evangelists seek to become teachers, prophetic intercessors aim to be prophets, and so forth.
Additionally, there are those who identify as gender-neutral, viewing themselves as neither exclusively male nor female. They advocate for society to eliminate the distinction between men and women, favouring terms like “us” or “them.” They feel offended and rejected when distinctions are made. This spirit has also infiltrated the Church, advocating for complete neutrality, where all believers are perceived as the same, with no leadership or distinct roles in the five-fold ministry.
This spirit aims the church to be neutral in everything including the truth and we must strongly resist this.
Here are ten ways:
- Emphasize that one doesn’t need a specific role in ministry (like being a five-fold minister) to engage in meaningful service. Peace, joy, and fulfilment come from embracing one’s God-given identity, so there’s no need to switch roles.
- Provide biblical teaching on the concept of the five-fold ministry, helping individuals discern their specific calling within this model.
- Address the misconception that apostles are superior to other ministries, explaining that apostolic characteristics can be embraced by anyone without holding the title of an apostle. This can help deter everyone from aspiring to be apostles.
- Encourage five-fold ministers not to feel ashamed if they discover they’ve been working in the wrong office. Growth and learning are ongoing processes.
- Stress the importance of demonstrating fruitfulness and a godly lifestyle before seeking ordination to ensure that people are ordained to the right office.
- Acknowledge that, while we are all equal before God, there are distinct roles and functions in the Kingdom. Emphasize the significance of these various functions within the Church.
- Educate leaders and ministers about the importance of embracing their true identities and free them from false humility.
- Promote an environment where believers and the Church are free from the spirit of offense so that we can take postions and stand for the truth.
- Let us teach the church to stand for values and principles, unashamed to communicate the complete counsel of God rather than just a portion, out of fear of being silenced or cancelled.
- The Church need Fathers imparting true identity and let them arise in Jesus Name!
The spirit of this world in the church, we break it in Jesus Name!
