In parts 1 and 2 I shared something about the clouds and in this last part I want to share something about the Wind and the Rain.

1. Wind as the Leading of the Holy Spirit
In the Bible, wind often represents the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

This is beautifully illustrated in John 3:8, where Jesus says:

“The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

We live in a time when God is doing new things and leading us on new paths. As Jesus said, God does not pour new wine into old wineskins (Matthew 9:17). This means we must renew our hearts and minds to remain open to what He wants to do in this season.
When we allow ourselves to be led by the Spirit, we will experience breakthroughs that surpass our understanding and expectations. A powerful example of this is found in John 21:6. Here, Jesus gives the disciples a specific instruction:

“Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.”

Although they had caught nothing all night, they followed His guidance. The result was an enormous catch of 153 large fish. This story is rich in symbolism. Large fish represent significant breakthroughs and abundance. Interestingly, when the numbers in 153 are added together, the sum is 9—a number often associated with the Holy Spirit in the Bible. This underscores that breakthroughs and abundance are the result of following the Spirit’s guidance.

Do not be guided by old ways or past patterns, because God desires to do something new. Listen carefully to His instruction, pray for clarity, and He will provide the right blueprints for this season.

2. Wind as a Symbol of Word and Doctrine

In the Bible, wind also represents doctrine, as seen in Ephesians 4:14:

“So that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.”

This verse emphasizes the importance of being firmly rooted in God’s Word to resist deception. We live in a time where deception is increasing, even within the church. Many Christians lack a strong foundation in God’s Word, making them vulnerable to misleading teachings and unable to walk in the fullness of God’s blessings.

Although we are already blessed in Christ with every spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3), these blessings become evident only when we know and apply God’s Word in our lives. This is not about earning God’s blessings but aligning our lives with His will.

We are living in a time marked by the rise of powerful teachers and teaching ministries who will establish God’s people in His Word. They will not only help lay a strong foundation but also provide keys to prosper in alignment with God’s principles.

Jeremiah 3:15 declares:

“I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.”

This is a prophetic promise of the rise of shepherds and teachers who will lead God’s people into deeper understanding and alignment with His purposes.

Joel 2:23 refers to the “Teacher of Righteousness” and promises the early and latter rain—a symbol of abundance and blessing. This points to a time when powerful biblical teaching will help people bear fruit in all areas of life like never before.

Being rooted in God’s Word will not only enable us to remain steadfast amid deception but also empower us to walk in the fullness of His blessings.

3. Wind as a Symbol of Life and Spirit

Wind in the Bible is a powerful symbol of life and the work of the Holy Spirit. In Ezekiel 37, we see how God’s breath—His Spirit—brings the dry bones to life. The prophet speaks to the wind, and the army of bones receives new life and rises up.
This is a beautiful picture of how God’s Spirit brings life where there was once death and dryness. Wind also symbolizes the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, as described in Acts 2:2:

“And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.”

This marks the moment the Spirit was poured out, equipping the disciples with power to carry out God’s work.
We live in a time when God is breathing afresh through His Spirit. This breath of God brings new life to the body of Christ, raising it up as a mighty army. This army will be equipped to accomplish His purposes in this time and to lay hold of His promises and plans.

Let God’s wind blow away everything that is dry and dead, and receive a fresh strength for a new season!

The last symbol is downpour, which speaks of provision and harvest in a unique season.

The downpour in the Bible is a picture of the latter rain that God pours out to ripen the harvest. Rain is essential to ensure that what has been sown fully matures and blossoms. It is a powerful symbol of God’s provision. Without rain, the harvest cannot ripen, but with rain, we see abundance and fruitfulness.

In this season, God promises to release everything His children need to bring in the harvest. This is not only a physical harvest but also a spiritual one. It means that many will experience powerful breakthroughs in various areas—personally, spiritually, financially, and in their ministries. The rain God provides is a symbol of His abundant blessing and grace, equipping His children for their calling.

The year 2025 will be a year where many things come into full bloom—a time of abundance and fulfillment. We will witness a season unlike anything we have seen before. However, this does not mean it will be entirely glorious. The world will face turbulent events, but in all of it, we can rest assured that we are more than conquerors. God will use even the challenging situations to turn them for His good purposes.

This season of rain calls us to live with expectation. As we look forward to what God will do, it is essential to prepare our hearts and hands for the harvest. Let us stand in faith, knowing that God’s provision will be abundant and that He will complete His work in and through us.

I don’t know about you, but I am full of anticipation for what is to come and what is already upon us!

2025, let’s go!
